While France is not currently experiencing confinement, all of its museums, movie and live performance theaters are closed. The galleries remain open. The first major museum exhibition by artist Edi Dubien was being held at the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Lyon when the decision to close such institutions was taken. However, the enthusiasm of a new audience discovering his work carried over in a series of reviews and media appearances, including this one by the French national television network France 2, visiting the artist in his studio outside Paris and informing the audience that his gallerist in Paris, Alain Gutharc, is presenting a selection of Edi Dubien’s works at the gallery for those who were not able to see the show in Lyon. S_Z will be presenting 35 works on paper  by this artist in the upcoming exhibition Rooms to Breathe, at The Fifth Floor from March 5th to the 21st.
