Consciousness of exclusion through naming is acute. Identities seem contradictory, partial, and strategic.

It matters what matters we use to think other matters with; it matters what stories we tell to tell other stories with; it matters what knots knot knots, what thoughts think thoughts, what descriptions describe descriptions, what ties tie ties. It matters what stories make worlds, what worlds make stories.

Donna Haraway

A group show curated by Stephen Sarrazin and assisted by Yangyu Zhang that brings together artists from North and South America, Asia, Europe, and North Africa in which are addressed issues of self-representation in modes that range from documentation to parody, celebration to denunciation, domesticity to nomadism. The selection embodies a dialogue at once frayed and revelatory.

Une exposition de groupe conçue par Stephen Sarrazin avec l’aide de Yangyu Zhang. Elle rassemble des artistes des Amériques du Nord et du Sud, de l’Asie, de l’Europe et de l’Afrique du Nord. Les oeuvres abordent des enjeux de représentation traitant de la documentation et de la parodie, de la célébration et la dénonciation, la domesticité et le nomadisme afin d’engager un dialogue qui s’effrite et révèle.

群展《她的特权》由Stephen Sarrazin策划，张洋宇任策展助理。本展聚集了来自南北美、亚洲、欧洲和北非的艺术家，各作品以“自我表述”为原点展开讨论，其中有纪实也有戏仿，有歌颂也有斥责，有安家乐土也有游牧主义。这些作品所形成的对话固然已经磨损，但仍或可带来启示。
